Downtown Stillwater is about 20 minutes away from Scandia and where we'd recommend staying overnight (it is where we live after all!).

There are historic boutique hotels, landmark inns, and charming B&Bs to choose from—all right in the heart of downtown.

We've also listed hotels that are "up the hill" in Stillwater/Oak Park Heights, about 5 minutes from downtown.

If you choose to stay in Stillwater, note that September is a busy time of year for tourism so we recommend booking sooner rather than later.
